Information Center

The library also functions as the information center, which provides access to printed and on-line resources about Greece. The library collection is managed through ABEKT automation system for library administration from the Greek National Documentation Center, which includes registering, cataloguing, classifying and compiling a thematic handbook of the available materials. Cataloguing is done via ΑΑCR2 (AngloAmericanCataloguingRules) and classification is conducted with the support of DeweyDecimalClassification adapted to the needs of the library collection. The on-line catalogue is accessible to every person interested in exploring the library. The library lends books to subscribers and all readers are provided with a possibility of making photocopies.
