Within the framework of the celebration of the Day of Europe on May 19 the tent “European city” was created in Odessa city garden. The EU members and the EU candidates including the Republic of Greece were presented at the informational and food tents.
Organizers of the events dedicated to the Day of Europe: Odessa Regional State Administration, Regional and City Councils, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Odessa region.
The visitors had the opportunity to look through the booklets with HFC activities, the books published by the HFC Branch and tourism materials given by the General Consulate of Greece.
The Branch conducted the lesson – presentation of the Greek language. Also the theatre presentation of the language was held by the students of Odessa NationalUniversity.
The dance troupes “Neotis” and “Elpida” took part in the Festive Concert.
The HFC Branch represented the special made pamphlets in Ukrainian on the theme:“OLKAS: From the Aegean to the Black Sea. Medieval ports in the Maritime Routes of the East”.
