On April 18, 2015 (the International Day for Monuments and Sites, established by UNESCO in 1982) at 12:00 in the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture there will be presentations of two books about the ancient Greek city-state of Olbia and the ancient Greek settlement of Alektor.
Krikun G.F. Drevnosti zemli Ochakovskoy na nive istorii [Antiquities from the Land of Ochakov in Historic Context]. – Ochakov, 2008. The book contains information about a thousand of historic facts, historic figures and geographical locations. The illustrations include 900 photographs, plans, maps, paintings and drawings.
Krikun G.F. Alektor – Ochakov. Legenda I fakty ob osnovanii goroda I ego pervykh zhitelyakh (591-590 gg. do n.e. – 2009-2010 gg.) [Alektor – Ochakov. The Legend and Facts about Foundation of the Town and its First Residents (591-590 BC – 2009-2010 AD)]. – Ochakov, 2008. The book contains information about foundation of the town of Alektor (Ochakov) and its first inhabitants based on historic facts, literary sources and archaeological research. The book is illustrated with nearly 250 photographs.
During the presentation there will be shown a documentary film “Ochakov – Treasures of the Ages” (directed by Andrey Gorchakov).
