February 7, 2019 at 16:00 the BHFC will host a lecture “Creating a portrait of an Odessite: “They have come, they have stayed” by Dr. Alexander Prigarin from the Department of History and Philosophy of the I.I.  Mechnikov Odessa National University.

Who are the “indigenous inhabitants of Odessa”? This remains one of the most discussed issues in the public and academic circles in Odessa – from household kitchens and tramway cars to research institutions and public offices. The lecturer will not offer a final answer to this question but rather focus on how each ethnic community influenced the development of the cosmopolitan city.
