Exhibition “Early Christian and Byzantine Monuments of Thessaloniki” in Marioupol

The Consulate General of Greece in Marioupol and the Odessa Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture present the exhibition “Early Christian and Byzantine Monuments of Thessaloniki” in the Kuindzgi Museum of Art on February 1, 2012 at 12:00.

The flatbed exhibition includes 15 monuments which are listed in the World Heritage Monuments of UNESCO:

The monuments of the early Christian period (4th-6th centuries) (Rotunda, Virgin Acheiropoiitos, St. Demetrios, Monastery Latomos (St. David))
The monuments of the Middle-Ages and Mid-Byzantine period (7th-13th centuries) (Hagia Sophia, Chalkeon Virgin, Byzantine Baths)
The monuments of the late Byzantine period (1204 -1453) (Saint Panteleimon, Holy Apostles, St. Nicholas the Orphan, St. Catherine, Church of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, Monastery Vlatadon, Prophet Elias, the City Walls)
