The celebration will begin at 11:00 in the Greek Cathedral of Holy Trinity with a festive church service and opening of a memorial plaque to Grigoriy Marazli, the Mayor of Odessa (1878-1895), a renowned philanthropist and prominent public figure, buried in the Greek Church.
The celebration will continue in the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture where on the occasion of Ohi Day and the 71st Anniversary of liberation of Ukraine from the Nazi occupation the Consul General of Greece in Odessa and representatives of Greek public organizations will send their greetings to Odessa’s Greek veterans of the World War II. Financial support to the veterans has been provided by the Chairman of the Administrative Board of the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Odessa, the President of Hephaestus Construction Company Mr. P. Boumbouras.
