Friday, November 27, 2015 at 15:30 the Branch of the HFC will host a meeting with the ancient Athens entitled “Acropolis, the greatest architectural complex in the antiquity” introduced by students from the Institute of Architecture of the State Academy of Construction and Civil Engineering (Odessa).
Project supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Nadezhda Pol’shchikova
The project is composed of the following presentations by students:
1. Nastya Dubs: “General characteristics of the architecture of the Athenian Acropolis”.
2. Dasha Parashchuk: “Architecture of the temple of Nike, the Propylaea and the Erechtheion”.
3. Ulya Motspan: “The Parthenon: architectural characteristics, including optical illusions, construction processes and artistic features”.
4. Diana Tyutyunik: “Works of Ictinus and Callicrates, the prominent architects of the Classical Hellas”.
The presentations will be accompanied by demonstrations of videos and a playback of ancient music performed by Anatoliy Shevchenko (guitar).
The introduction and the concluding remarks will be made by Assoc. Prof. Nadezhda Pol’shchikova.
