February 17-19, 2017 Mr. Valeriy Suntsov of the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Odessa participated in the Initiative for Heritage Conservation Executive Leadership Workshop “Successful Fundraising for Heritage Managers: Strategies and best Practices” offered by the Heritage Management Organization in Elefsina, Greece.

The workshop was delivered by renowned strategic advisors Linda C. Hartley and Jennifer E. Herring from H2Growth Strategies LLC (USA), whose team has helped over 100 non-for profit organizations raise over $ 1. 5 billion to support and sustain their projects. It combined lectures, case studies, class discussions and interactive exercises to help participants develop and apply the fundraising strategies and skills necessary towards starting up or building their organization’s contributed revenue.

Sixteen managers in the fields of culture, heritage, ecology and tourism from Greece, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Palestine, Vietnam, Turkey and Ukraine participated in the workshop. Mr. Suntsov’s participation was made possible due to financial support from the Boumbouras Foundation (Odessa, Ukraine).
