The HFC Branch is hosting the exhibition of photographs about archaeological research at the ancient town of Olbia founded by ancient Greeks in the late 7th c BC, which has been for two seasons conducted jointly by Ukrainian d Polish researchers.
The opening of the exhibition took place July 15, 2018 in the format of a “round table” participated by the Deputy Director of the Institute of Archaeology of Ukraine Dr. Alla Buyskikh and the head of the Polish archaeological mission Dr. Alfred Twardecki from the Natioal Museum in Warsaw. The welcoming speeches were delivered by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Mr. Jan Pieklo, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Odessa Mr. Dariusz Szewczyk, Director of the Polish Institute in Kiev Mr. Bartosz Musiałowicz and Director of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture Mr. Sofronis Paradeisopoulos.
The exhibition will be open until July 20. Admittance is free.
