From May 22 to May 26, 2019, the Branch of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture will take part in the VIII International Book Arsenal Festival, which will be held in Kiev at Mystetsky Arsenal.
At the festival, the BHFC will present the following program:

Greek stand / 10:00 – 20:00
“imagine all the people …”. Exhibition of books by Greek authors on migrants and refugees published in 1962-2018 (with a catalog and abstracts in Ukrainian): fiction, documentaries, essays, twentieth century classics, books for children and youth, albums.
“Children who crossed the sea: a game with masks.” Exhibition of photographs from the art project of the Greek photographer Nikos Kolovas. At training seminars, refugee children personally made and painted masks, the appearance of which shows both their own feelings and emotions from the children’s dangerous journey to a foreign country, and the imprint of the cultural traditions of their homeland. The project was implemented within the framework of the program for the adaptation of refugee children with the support of the Hellenic Network for Children’s Rights, Save the Children International, the UNESCO Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the European Commission’s Department for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).
