On Saturday, May 21, 2022, there was held an online Hellenic Foundation for Culture Delegate Awards ceremony. The award recognizes individuals for their work in the promotion and dissemination of Greek culture.
The Hellenic Foundation for Culture Delegate Awards program refers to the establishment of a group of “Representatives of Greek Culture” in Greece and abroad under the auspices of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture for pupils / students and teachers / professionals who are interested and/or active in the topics of Greek culture.
The goals of this program are to acknowledge those who are involved in “Greek cultural affairs”, to motivate them through awards, and to reward those involved for their efforts and dedication. Twenty-seven individuals have been awarded, including four persons from Ukraine:
- Andrii Savenko (Kyiv), associate professor at the Department of General Linguistics, Classical Philology and Neo-Hellenistic Studies, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
- Olga and Yuri Scherbakovs (Odessa), associate professors of the A.V. Nezhdanova National Musical Academy of Odessa.
- Irina Ponomariova (Dnipro), Artist.
