At the initiative of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture and with the financial support from the President of Building Company ”Gefest” (Odessa, Ukraine) Mr. P. Boumbouras, on September 16-17, 2016 two young Greek authors, the winners of the 2014 Greek National Literary Award for debut authors Lefteris Kalospyros and Eleftheria Kyritsi took part in the XI Lviv International Literature Festival.

The readings by the Greek authors were attended by over 50 visitors to the festival including faculty members, students and post-graduate students from the Department of Classical Philology of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University under the direction of the Deputy Head of the department assoc. prof. Lina M. Hlushchenko.

The director of the Branch of HFC Sofronis Paradeisopoulos also attended the XXIII Lviv Forum of Publishers, where he discussed with specialists the perspectives for translating books of the contemporary Greek authors into Ukrainian language and publishing them in Ukraine as well as the participation of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in the Book Arsenal 2017.
